Truth in Taxation hearing at Dec. 15 meeting

The annual Truth in Taxation hearing and opportunity for public comment and questions will take place at the Dec. 15 school board meeting, held by videoconference at 6 p.m.

Due to the current federal and state emergency declarations and guidance about limiting person-to-person contact due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all meetings of the ISD 279 School Board will be conducted in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 13D.021-Meetings by Telephone or Other Electronic Means until further notice. As a result, members of the public are not permitted to attend meetings without special permission. Persons may instead monitor meetings from a remote location via the district website: https://www.district279.org/info-center/school-board

The following options are offered for persons interested in sharing comments during the Truth in Taxation portion of the Dec. 15 meeting:

  • Complete and submit this form: https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/6067642/Truth-in-Taxation-Public-Hearing. Forms received by 12 p.m. on Dec. 15 will be read out loud by a staff member in the order they were received; or
  • Submit comments by leaving a voicemail message at 763-391-7003. The recording will be played during the Truth in Taxation agenda item. Voicemail messages should be prefaced with your name and your city of residence. Voicemail messages will be played for up to 4 minutes; or
  • Individuals choosing to speak to the school board in person about Truth in Taxation may call Sherri Lincoln at 763-391-7003 to confirm attendance and receive information about social distancing requirements.
