Thanking our top-notch bus drivers

Thanking our top-notch bus drivers

Each day, Minnesota school bus drivers safely transport more than 760,000 students to and from school. To recognize this important profession and the impact that school bus drivers have on students, Gov. Tim Walz has declared Feb. 21-27 School Bus Driver Appreciation Week in the state of Minnesota.

"Our school bus drivers have stepped up in unprecedented ways to serve Minnesota's students during an incredibly challenging year, and I am forever grateful for their dedication to our students' education, safety, and wellbeing," said Gov. Walz. In our district, bus drivers have gone above and beyond to deliver meals, educational materials and technologies; participate in staff parades through school communities during distance learning; and ensure all students arrive to school safely.

We appreciate the bus drivers who keep our students safe and help to facilitate learning every day!
